Located along the southern side of the Sorrentine Peninsula, the Amalfi Coast is one of the most breathtaking coastal landscapes in the world and one of Italy’s most famous destinations.
Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Amalfi Coast stretches between dramatic cliffs, colorful villages, terraced lemon groves, and the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea. For centuries this extraordinary region has fascinated travelers, artists, writers, and aristocrats with its natural beauty, history, and timeless atmosphere.
The coast is home to picturesque towns such as Positano, famous for its vertical architecture and narrow streets; Amalfi, once a powerful Maritime Republic during the Middle Ages; and Ravello, renowned for its elegant villas and spectacular panoramic terraces overlooking the sea.
The Amalfi Coast also preserves a rich historical and cultural heritage shaped by Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and medieval influences. Ancient churches, monasteries, watchtowers, and noble residences reflect centuries of maritime trade and artistic development.
